REVIEW OF THE SEASON (MAR - MAY)

MARCH
The much-anticipated battle of the big two between Crawley and Weymouth drew a club record 4,522 to the Broadfield Stadium.
A drab first period gave way to an exciting second, and goals from Paul Armstrong and skipper Kevin Hemsley ensured victory and put Reds back ahead of Claridge's men.
The win proved the catalyst to greater achievements. Five wins from six and some Terras slip-ups put Town nine points clear and earned Francis Vines a deserved manager of the month accolade.

APRIL
The month that saw Crawley crowned champions began well with a 2-0 win over Dover Athletic.
Promotion was duly completed in the best possible manner, an away win at Welling on Easter Monday, sealed by Weymouth's draw with Tiverton meant that after 20 successive seasons in the league, the Town can now look forward to Football Conference action next season.
As if to confirm their status as the best side in the division, Reds travelled to Nuneaton and claimed a 1-0 win, followed up with two unlikely defeats at home to Hinckley and Newport.
Sandwiched in between, Town collected a rare league and cup double, beating Moor Green 4-1 over two legs in the Dr Martens Cup.
A late Rob Traynor penalty against Weston-Super-Mare proved the perfect end to a highly successful 2003/2004 campaign.
