Crawleys Rents set for surgery

Crawley Town's Sam Rents could miss the start of the season after suffering a fractured cheekbone and broken nose in a pre-season friendly against Millwall.He was injured after a collision with Lions' striker Steve Morison during their 1-1 draw on Saturday.

The 23-year-old left-back now requires surgery on the problem.

Rents is expected to return to light training next week but he could be ruled out of the first six games of the Blue Square Bet Premier season.
