Troubled Reds aim to cut deficit

Reds have been awarded a two-week stay of execution following a third bid by owners The Majeed brothers to claim back the club.

Conference officials subsequently gave the go-ahead for Reds to remain in the league and the transfer embargo has been lifted, allowing manager John Hollins to bring in players on a non-contract basis.

Despite the ongoing drama, Hollins will be keen to open with three points and make an immediate impact on the 10-point deduction they start the season with.

Strikers Jake Edwards and Ben Strevens should line up alongside the five players who remained from the last campaign, while Millwall loanee Michael Bostwick could also feature.
